TRAINING FOR CHRISTIAN LEADERS IN EASTERN EUROPE

The Lviv Theological Seminary has over 600 students this year. We are the largest and most influential pastor training institution in the post-soviet world. Full-time on-campus training is not a possibility for many of our students. We need to travel to where they are. As our student population grows, conventional travel is not always possible. Another solution is required to help meet the need. We believe that now is the time to launch an online school where we can broadcast training to our leaders and pastors more effectively. Our pedagogical focus will be to develop a series of courses which reflect a motivating and inductive approach to learning while at the same time maintaining the high degree of excellence in content which has made the Lviv Theological Seminary successful. 

In order to complete a course with LTSonline, the student will have to accomplish the same number of lecture hours, reading volume and personal research and writing as one of our on-campus courses. Students will receive credit which will be recognized by the EAAA. Each course will be comprised of the following: video teaching recorded specifically for this online project, 300-400 pages of reading directly related to the various themes of each course, pictures, graphs, statistics, maps, timelines, and other multimedia to help in the learning process, review questions will be presented at every step during the course, and a development question which students will discuss with each other in an online forum with the teacher of the course. The new website will also have a repository of resources which students will have access to for research.

We believe that this new project will meet a need both here in Ukraine as well as abroad as we continue to make training for Christian leaders a reality.
